At the Crossroads

Chennai Rains!!!

Summer rain, such a relief. The sound of the raindrops, the rustle of the leaves , the chill breeze whistling an incomprehensible melody in my ears, the scent of thirsty earth drinking the monsoon season's first rain, hot caffein fix and an interesting book - i feel rewarded, for the wait seem to have paid :) The monsoon showers have put an end to the scorching summer. Though rain is fun, too much of it can cause havoc to the city. Stagnant water - a breeding place for mosquitoes, slippery roads, traffic jam.. Whatever it be, Rains in Chennai is a rarity, so it's kind of a thrill to get even the hint of one. I am loving it :)
