Dumb Slog Millionaire
It is time to celebrate. Slumdog wins oscars. Let us celebrate the mockery of the hapless Indian showcased on the silverscreen with such grandeur. I do not deny the fact that every single aspect of the movie reflects reality, depcits the true face of of a corrupt and poverty stricken country, but making a parody of it is simply deplorable. True but sad, only in a country like India a child is a witness to his/her parent's death in a communal riot, filmstars are equivalent to God and the worth of human life is less than a dime, where education is a luxury only the affluent can afford and woman are treated worse than a rug, where every politician has wealth enough to serve several generations to come and a little child dies of malnutrition in some remote part.
It still is my home. The place i was born and lived all my life. I am proud of all the good things it has taught me that will be a part of me till the end of my life.The scene in the movie where the kid is beaten by a bunch of policemen and the foreigeners come to his rescue, is the worst of all. I see that the Oscar jury loved the movie. It was simply unstoppable, kept winning awards one after the other. Must have won more had it shown crazier stuff. Dumbslog Millionaire is an exaggeration of sorts.

@Anon or 'Mr.Sensible'
Woo.. someone had come out really strong on me. If you find me arrogant you must check yourself out in the mirror. If there is arrogance in what i have written, then i believe you need to be taught what arrogance is.
I stand by what i have written and if you still feel it is a senseless piece of 'SHIT' you can go by your opinion Mr.Sensible.
And thanks for the gyan you gave me on what i need to learn. If you care to leave behind your name, i will be more than happy to dish out some funda on the basics of all that you mentioned. Nooyi and Kochchar huh.. u seem to know some names.. Oh yeah, you claim to know great stuff, dont you. Humility is something that you should not be preaching my dear.
