At the Crossroads

You don't get to choose how you're going to die. Or when. You can only decide how you're going to live. Now. --Joan Baez When men and women agree,it is only in their conclusions;their reasons are always different

Disgrace

I am not even half as disappointed as cricket fans all across india after the Indian Cricket teams' shameful exit from world cup. It was amusing to see them get home from secret exits at the airport. Was it to escape the ire of the public or were they so ashamed that they could hardly face media and the public?Whatever it be, they have disappointed cricket fans a great deal. The loud-mouthed Ponting who does not let go off any opportunity to humiliate the indian team has already made several abasing statements, one of it being that the undeserving lot(Indians) was not worthy of entering super 8s. I hope its a big lesson for the sponsors, BCCI , players and not the least- public . Especially the players who went overboard after all the hype created by media and public.

Who is to be blamed for the debacle?? Every single individual involved must take responsibility for the loss. Team India was never a strong contender , nevertheless people pinned too much hope. The players failed to realise that its the game that has made them what they are today. Negligence and involvement in other activities distracted them from the game which requires great deal of determination and focus. Endorsements and pop albums is def an easy way to make money, but why forget that its the game that has brought them all the popularity and fame.

Whats required at the moment is a planned strategy for the forthcoming seasons. The players will have to cut down on the time they spend endorsing products and focus on the game. Politicians must be kept at bay. Sharad pawar must take care of his ministry and quit BCCI. Coach and captain must chalk out a plan to improvise on a lot of areas. If the players fail to toe the line, they must be whipped to shape or sacked. And for the coach - to be effective with others u need to be effective with urself.

Thats all for now..
